Safety Measures at Signature

Vaccination

All of Signature’s employees, including staff and performers, are participating in a mandatory vaccine program. Signature also requires all audiences to provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask to attend all live public performances and events at indoor venues.

“Fully vaccinated” means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of authorized/approved double-dose vaccines or that 14 days have passed since receiving the sole dose of authorized/approved single-dose vaccines. Click here for the list of WHO/FDA authorized vaccines and click here for CDC approved COVID-19 vaccines for travel, which Signature will also accept.

Signature will accept any of the following methods for proving vaccination, along with a photo ID:

  1. Photo of vaccination card on a phone or other device.
  2. Physical vaccination card – original or photocopy
  3. Digital vaccination cards or apps through your state’s Health Department
VIRGINIA: SmartHealth app or online Vaccination Record
    DC: MyIR Portal
    MARYLAND:MyIR Portal

People who cannot be fully vaccinated due to a medical or religious exemption, or patrons 12 and under must present the results of a negative COVID Test – either of the following are acceptable along with a photo ID:

  1. Test taken within 72 hours of the performance from any medical test provider
Show a copy of the email/app/website from the test provider
  2. At Home Test taken the day of the show, such as BinaxNOW or ellume
You must provide a photo(s) clearly showing all of the following:
    - The instruction/keys from the test that demonstrate a negative result
    - The negative test results next to an electronic device clearly showing the date and time.
Alternatively, you can bring the test and take it at the Theatre, please plan to arrive 30 minutes in advance for this option.

Signature does not admit children under 6. Exceptions to the photo ID requirement can be made for children without any form of photo ID – school IDs are accepted.

This policy is in effect through January 2, 2022 and will be reevaluated periodically.

Ticketing Changes

You can get an exchange with no fees or a full refund of your ticket price (not including fees) until the day of the performance if you or any member of your household are not feeling well and cannot attend the performance.

Signature is moving to paperless ticketing for all patrons, and tickets will be delivered digitally. We will provide more details about using your tickets as we get closer to reopening.  If you’d like paper tickets, please contact the Box Office after you have made a purchase and we will print them for a small fee.

Face Masks

Signature requires all persons in the theater to wear a mask at all times at live public performances and events except while eating or drinking in designated locations.

This policy is in effect through January 2, 2022 and will be reevaluated periodically.

Air Filtration

Signature’s air handling system has been studied and meets ASHRAE’s recommended guidelines for filtration, with a target of 33% outdoor air supply and an average of 6 air changes per hour.

Sanitation

Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building, and we are exploring options for touchless payments as well.

Seating

We are currently planning on opening with full seating capacity with no social distancing. Your safety is our top priority, and we will continue to monitor and update our plans as the current situation requires.
