Accessibility
Signature Theatre offers several accessibility options to ensure our Theatre is welcoming to everyone.
Patrons Who Are Deaf or are Hard of Hearing
GalaPro Free Closed Captioning Mobile App
Signature now offers free real-time closed captioning at every performance through the GalaPro mobile app, which is now available for Apple and Android mobile devices and tablets. Patrons who use captioning will not need to attend a special captioned performance; and patrons who use our assistive listening system will be able to augment their experience with GalaPro captions.
GalaPro is funded in part by the Philip L. Graham Fund and the Macfarlan Family, in honor of Winnie Macfarlan.
Assistive Listening Devices
Thanks to generous donations from Mary Ann Gilleece and Lola C. Reinsch, we have a brand new Sennheiser Assistive listening system installed to improve the quality and clarity of sound for our patrons who are hard of hearing. In addition to earbud receivers, we also have the ability to support headphones or to connect to t-coil hearing aids. Devices are available for use free of charge at coat check in The Mead Lobby. We will ask you to leave your driver’s license or other ID while using the device.

Patrons with Bright Light Sensitivity

For our patrons who find the lights in our theatre spaces are too bright, Signature offers complimentary dark glasses for any performance. Dark glasses assist in reducing the impact of stage lights and glare reflected at some angles. Patrons should request a pair of dark glasses from any staff member or volunteer.

Please contact the Box Office for information about printed script availability.
