DC Choreographer and performer Ashleigh King (Signature’s Hairspray; Choreographer of Woolly Mammoth’s Fairview, Keegan Theatre’s Legally Blonde) teaches a class in contemporary musical theater. In the style of choreographers Camille A. Brown (NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, Broadway’s Once on this Island) and Karla Garcia, Ashleigh blends the aesthetics of today’s popular movement with the storytelling and precision of classic musical theater.
