Tour starts at Lafayette Square in front of the Andrew Jackson statue and will be approximately 90 minutes long
Follow in the footsteps of John Wilkes Booth and other assassins at a free walking tour in Downtown DC, led by experienced tour guide Jess Unger! Learn about the motives of the characters you’ll see in our production of Assassins and see how the city itself has been altered to keep the President safe.
About the Tour Guide: Jess Unger
Jess Unger is a public historian who spends her days at the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation, helping museums, archives, and libraries connect with emergency planning resources. She has led several programs on the history of statuary in Washington, D.C. titled “Who’s that Dead White Guy on a Horse?”
The tour is free, but reservations are required to make sure the group doesn’t get too large.
