What are vouchers? How do I know how many I have?

When Signature cancelled productions due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020, we offered subscribers the option to convert their remaining tickets to vouchers, which can now be redeemed for tickets to all upcoming shows at Signature. See below for more information on how to redeem your vouchers.

To see your list of vouchers, log into your Signature Theatre account on our website and look under “My Account.”

What can I buy with my vouchers?

Vouchers can be redeemed for subscription packages or single tickets for all digital and in-person performances at Signature. This includes mainstage season shows, cabarets, and any additional paid programs we produce on site.

The vouchers will be redeemed on a 1:1 basis for comparable tickets to mainstage shows. When using vouchers to pay for something else, like a cabaret, class or digital performance they will convert to gift certificates to pay for those programs.

Vouchers cannot be used for productions performed live at venues outside of Signature.

Will I have to pay anything additional to use my vouchers? What if what I am buying is less expensive?

In most cases, you will not have to pay any additional amount to redeem your vouchers for Signature tickets.

The exception is if you choose to redeem your vouchers for a performance that is upgraded from your original cancelled performance, similar to our policy on ticket exchanges. For example, if you originally had tickets to a cancelled Weeknight performance and you choose to redeem your vouchers for a Saturday evening, you will be charged the difference in ticket prices.

Conversely, if you choose to redeem your vouchers for a less expensive mainstage production ticket, you will have the option to donate the price difference back to Signature or keep it on your account to use until the end of the season.

When purchasing tickets for non-mainstage productions your vouchers are converted to gift certificates for the purchase. If you are buying something less expensive than the total value you may keep the balance on a gift certificate, which never expires, or donate it to Signature. If the item is more expensive than the value of your voucher you would pay the difference.

Can I donate my vouchers back to Signature?

Yes! Donating your vouchers back to Signature is the best way to help Signature reopen strong. To donate your vouchers back to Signature, log into your Signature account and click “Donate All Vouchers to Signature.” You can also contact the Box Office at tickets@sigtheatre.org or 703 820 9771 if you wish to donate your vouchers.

How long can I use my vouchers? Will they expire?

Vouchers can be redeemed over three seasons, until the end of the 2023/24 season, so you can wait until you feel comfortable to return to live performances.

Can I use my vouchers online?

Yes! If you have vouchers, you will be prompted to use them on the website after you have put item(s) in your cart and logged in. Note that you must log in to your account during the checkout process to use your vouchers. If you use guest checkout, our website won’t be able to find your vouchers.

I tried to use my vouchers online and got an error message. What do I do?

If you have any issues with using your vouchers online, please contact the Box Office at tickets@sigtheatre.org or 703 820 9771 during regular business hours.

I don't want these vouchers anymore. Can I still have a refund?

No, refunds are no longer available. If you’re no longer able to use your vouchers, contact the Box Office at tickets@sigtheatre.org or 703 820 9771 to donate them back to Signature or transfer them to someone else.

Can I give my vouchers to someone else?

Yes. Please contact the Box Office at tickets@sigtheatre.org or 703 820 9771 to transfer your vouchers to another patron.

How many vouchers can I use at a time?

You may use as many vouchers as you have available to cover the cost of the tickets or subscription packages you wish to purchase. To see how many vouchers you have available, log into your Signature account. When redeeming on the website you will have the option to use all available vouchers for the transaction or none of them. If you only wish to use SOME vouchers you will need to call the Box Office at 703 820 9771.

I tried to use my vouchers online, but I don't think they were applied correctly. What do I do?
