Ticket Return, Exchange & Donation Policy

You can get an exchange with no fees, donate your tickets back for resale, or get a full refund of your ticket price (not including fees) until the day of the performance if you or any member of your household are not feeling well and cannot attend the performance. Please contact us by noon for an evening performance or 10:30AM for a matinee performance so we can process your ticket changes before the show.

Tickets may only be exchanged into the same production and are based on availability. Tickets may not be exchanged after the performance date has passed. If the performance/seat being exchanged into is more expensive than the original ticket, the difference in price will be charged.

What if I can't use my tickets?

See above regarding Signature’s exchange policy. You may also donate your tickets back to Signature for a tax deductible donation.

Where are Signature performances?

All performances are at Signature Theatre located at 4200 Campbell Ave., Arlington, Virginia 22206, unless otherwise noted. Signature has two performance spaces: the MAX Theatre and the ARK Theatre, both located on the second floor in The Mead Lobby.

How do I get to Signature? Where do I park?

What time do the doors open? What happens if I arrive late?

The doors open 30 minutes prior to the performance.

Late seating is at the discretion of the House Managers. For safety, due to audience pathways also being used by actors, patrons may have to wait several minutes before being admitted for an appropriate break in the action. Patrons who arrive late may be sat in different locations from their original seats to lessen disruption of the show.

Where can I eat? Can I bring drinks into the Theatre?

Ali’s Bar opens 90 minutes prior to performances. Check out the full menu here. There are also several wonderful restaurants to enjoy in Shirlington to enjoy a meal before coming to the theater. Check them out on The Village at Shirlington's website.

Yes you can bring your drinks into the theater! Just ask your bartender for one of our reusable cups with a lid.

What accessibility services do you offer?

Is there an age limit?

Unless the performance is specifically for children, no one under 6 will be admitted.

Can I record the show or take pictures inside the Theatre?

No pictures or video are allowed while the actors are on stage. You will be asked to delete any photos or videos captured during performances. However, you may take pictures or videos inside the Theatre before the show, at intermission, or after the show.

The Signature Subscriber Experience

1. Guaranteed Seats and Seating Priority
Score seats to our hottest shows before they sell out. Subscribers get seats assigned before groups and single tickets go on sale in mid-July 2024. For the best seats, order by the end of June!

2. Discounted Tickets and Immunity to Future Price Increases
Get $10 off the current single ticket price per ticket on mainstage productions for tickets you add-on to your subscription for friends and family. Additionally, single ticket prices increase based on demand. Tickets that are part of subscription packages are discounted and don’t ever change price.

3. Unlimited Exchanges
Until 24 hours before the performance for any reason, or day of the performance if you or any member of your household are not feeling well and cannot attend the performance (day of by 10:30AM for matinees and noon for evening performances).

4. No Exchange Fees
No service fees when you change your ticket
Please note: service fees are waived, but if the performance exchanged into is more expensive than the original tickets, you will pay the difference for the upgrade.

5. Subscriber Pre-Sales
When new performances are added, subscribers get advance purchase opportunities.
