Join Signature’s Education Program Manager for a fun on your feet introduction to the freeing world of improvisation. No experience necessary. All you need to bring is a desire to learn, a sense of curiosity and play!

Only parents/guardians of participating students may observe this class – space for observers is limited and available on a first-come first-served basis.

Signature Theatre’s Education Program Manager, is a DC area educator, actor, director, writer and dramaturg. His Signature in the Schools assistant directing and dramaturgy credits include Failureland!; The Possumneck Playhouse...;The Voices of Blackwell Island; The Pursued, The Pursuing The Busy, and The Tired; Here’s the Deal; UnResigned; The Spoken Word; 12 Million Footsteps; Smile Lines; 295N; Veni, Vidi, Vici; Anne and Emmett (joint production with Arlington Public Schools); and Hero Worship. As a dramaturg for Signature Theatre his work includes: Gun and Powder; Titanic; West Side Story; Elmer Gantry; Cabaret; Threepenny Opera; and Cloak and Dagger. His dramaturgical work also supported the Kennedy Center premiere of Gigi. A graduate of The University of Maryland, College Park (BA Theatre / BA English), Matt has taught around the area in various capacities at several theatres for many years now. Some of his favorite teaching venues and relationships include Signature Theatre, Arlington County Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, ArtStream – Gaithersburg / Arlington, Studio Theatre, The Space, Washington Improv Theatre and The City of Gaithersburg
