Signature Theatre wants your new musical - The Washington Post

There’s another place for you in Arlington to hone your new musical.

Signature Theatre revealed details on Thursday of its new SigWorks: Musical Theater Lab, a project that begins next summer with workshop productions of two still-to-be-chosen original musicals.

Signature has an established record of musical theater development, represented most visibly by its American Musical Voices Project, which was responsible for the world premiere runs at Signature of new musicals such as Michael John LaChiusa’s “Giant” in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon’s “Sycamore Trees” in 2010.
