What? That doesn’t surprise you?

Where were you born/raised? Boston, MA
Tell us about your character. Jacob is for sure one of the funniest characters I’ve gotten to play. He is so eager to please, yet marches to the beat of his own drum. In his mind, he’s the star of the show but he’s the biggest hot mess you’ll ever see put together.
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? “We Need a Little Christmas” from Mame.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people. My Britney Spears and Bill Cosby impressions are pretty amazing.

Where were you born/raised? I was born in Silver Spring, MD, and currently live in Olney, MD.
Tell us about your character. Jean-Michel is the son of Georges, born to a mother, Sybil, who abandoned Georges and Jean-Michel when he was very young. He’s desperately in love with and marrying Anne, who, along with her parents, is coming to meet Jean-Michel’s family.
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? “When the Parade Passes By” from Hello Dolly.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people. I have eggs every single morning, and yet my cholesterol levels are GREAT!

Where were you born/raised? I was born in Columbia, MD, and grew up in Ellicott City, MD.
Tell us about your character. Anne Dindon is Jean Michel’s fiancée and daughter of Deputy Edouard Dindon, “the most famous anti-homosexual on the Riviera.”
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? My favorite Jerry Herman song is “Put on your Sunday Clothes.” I have always loved Hello Dolly, and have sang this song at many a gala, but it is WALL*E that makes this song my favorite.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people. I’m a semi professional building contractor. Okay, I’ve never been paid, but I can tile your house and my house and hang drywall all over the world with the best of them.  I’m not afraid to use a drill!

Where were you born/raised? Kenosha, WI .
Tell us about your character. Renaud is the owner of the café that Albin and Georges frequent. I think he started working there shortly after he was born. Edouard Dindon is the father of Anne, who wants to marry the son of Georges and Albin. He is a member of an extreme right wing party… the Ted Cruz of the play, if you will.
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? Well, I really like “I Am What I Am.”
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people. I’m looking forward to appearing in drag. Yup.

Where were you born/raised? Born in Nashville, TN, and raised in Donelson (a suburb of Nashville).
Tell us about your character. Marie Dindon is the sweet wife of Edouard Dindon, a rising politician and mother of Anne. She and Anne have tried to appear as the good God-fearing family for Edouard’s career. She comes from money.  Madame Renaud and her husband own and manage the local well-established cafe in St Tropez. The cafe has been passed down from her husband’s family for 3 generations, and all are welcome there.

Tell us about your character. I am Francis, the Stage Manager to an unruly, but ultimately loveable bunch of drag queens. My relationship with them is evolving.
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? Mac and Mabel, which unfortunately nobody ever seems to do, is my favorite score of his, and “Time Heals Everything” the best song from it.  Obviously there’s truth in it, and Bernadette Peters on the original recording breaks your heart. It’s a perfect song for a drag show.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people. Parrying a bit of reticence of my parents in my youth, I dressed as a woman for a few Halloweens.

Where were you born/raised? Born in Washington DC and raised in Potomac/ Bethesda, MD.
Tell us about your character. Chantal is a sensational swallow of a soprano with pipes as pretty as she is. More Callas than Sills, Chanty is one step from La Scala every time she sings heavenly high A’s. However, for the right Frenchman, she could be persuaded to pursue early retirement.

Where were you born/raised? The 713 (Houston, Texas)!
Tell us about your character. Phaedra is a magical, mysterious beast of a Cagelle who hails from the sizzlin’ Southwest. Miss PhaePhae plays no games, pulls no punches, and pops no weasels for any fool or foe. The stage is her power place, and not even Zaza dares challenge her performance acumen.

Where were you born/raised? I was born and raised in Tullahoma, TN.
Tell us about your character. Hanna is a seasoned Cagelle of La Cage aux Folles who also dabbles in the dominatrix arts. She’s skilled with a whip but better with a step. Without a doubt, she’s next in line for Zaza’s crown.

Tell us about your character. I play Angelique, who is one of the six Cagelles. She’s one of the newer queens at La Cage and also hasn’t found her distinctive talent in the show, so she’s given jobs that she can’t mess up like sitting still and looking pretty. At the end of the day she’s just happy to be there.
What is your favorite Jerry Herman song? Hands down my favorite Jerry Herman song is “It’s Today” from Mame. It’s exciting, optimistic, and happy which is how I try to approach every day. Definitely my musical theater song of choice.
