Spring Break Workshop FAQs

Spring Break Workshop FAQs

In the tradition of Signature’s popular Stage One and Overtures programs, Signature is proud for the Signature Spring Break Workshop to join its educational family. This new program, aimed at burgeoning performers ages eleven to fourteen, promises to help these performers down their path to theatrical greatness. And it promises to be FUN.

Here are the answers to common questions we’ve received.

When is the full tuition due?

How much is workshop tuition?

Pricing for the workshop is as follows:

Single Day: $60/day
Full Week: $250
After Care: $15/day

Lunch is not provided. Students are expected to bring their own packed lunches.

Is a snack provided to students?

A light snack will be served to students in the early afternoon every day.

How do you handle kids with allergies?

Shortly after you have registered for the program, a formal registration form will be sent to you. Included in that form is a required health information section that includes allergies and any other health conditions we should be aware of. If you would like to discuss any concerns with us, please do so by calling or visiting before the first day of the workshop so we can give you the proper attention.

  • Afternoon snacks chosen for students will take allergies into consideration.
  • We do not administer medication, but we can keep EpiPens and inhalers that are clearly labeled with the child’s name in the office. We make sure teachers and apprentices are aware of which students have special medical needs and concerns.

Is your staff trained to work with children with special needs or behavioral challenges?

We do not have fully trained staff or facilities to accommodate all special needs. Members of our staff are happy to discuss how we can help your child through the workshop experience. Any information you can share about your child with us is incredibly helpful.

What qualifications do the faculty of the Spring Break Workshop have?

Signature Education hires only the most qualified theater educators, all with undergraduate or graduate backgrounds in the arts and ample experience teaching. Additionally, staff members are CPR certified and receive training on emergency procedures for the program.

Does it matter if my child has no theatrical performance experience?

Not at all. One of the aims of this program is to introduce kids to the world of theater and all of the different pathways it can take them down. Topics such as performance, design, direction, improv, creativity, spontaneity, listening and communication will be touched on and explored for students of all experience levels.
