Creating a musical is like constructing a ship. You start with the blueprints. A captain takes the helm and the event culminates in a voyage filled with spectators. See what makes the musical Titanic as epic as the boat itself in an intimate, five-part seminar. Meet director Eric Schaeffer, take a special in-depth dive into the design concepts and see it all come together when cast meets orchestra for the first time.

Signature’s Artistic Director, Eric Schaeffer, directs this world premiere musical featuring some of the most immersive and imaginative designs ever made for a Signature production. Join Eric and members of the design team as they talk about creating the world-famous Titanic in Signature’s intimate MAX Theatre.

Anchors Away: The Music

November 30, 7 – 8:30PM

James Moore provides music direction for Maury Yeston’s sweeping, Tony Award®-winning score. Mr. Moore and members of the cast will talk about Yeston’s stunning work and perform selections from the show.

Port of Call: Tech Rehearsal

December 7, 7 – 9PM

The sets, props, lights, costumes, and actors all come together to bring life to this lush and unforgettable production. Watch a technical rehearsal as all the elements are integrated into “the production.”

You’ve discussed the show, you’ve watched rehearsal, you’ve heard the music. Now, join as a part of the company’s first audience at the “invited dress rehearsal.” See how the production comes together as the final element – the audience – is added.
