We asked the cast of Road Show four questions about themselves and their relationship to the show.

Click each picture below to see their answers!

Where were you born/raised? San Diego, CA.

Tell us about your character. Addison Mizner was a brilliant man responsible for some of most gorgeous architecture in Florida… and plenty of not so good things. But at his heart he was a man who wanted to do good, not just for himself but for others.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? I have been a huge fan of Sondheim’s since I was a child. The kids table at my Broadway themed bar-mitzvah was named after Sweeney Todd. At the moment the song that comes to mind is “Now You Know” from Merrily We Roll Along. Whenever I feel frustrated or burnt out that song comes into my head.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? I love Sedona, Arizona. It’s the place where I like to go and regroup. And after this spanking we got from Winter Storm Jonas, a desert sounds heavenly.

Where were you born/raised? A small farm town north of Baltimore called Hereford. It’s literally named after a breed of cow.

Tell us about your character.  Hollis Bessemer, a young heir, is cut off from his inheritance by his father and decides to chase his dream of developing an artists’ colony in Florida. He meets Addison Mizner on the train, and the two start an unlikely relationship.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? I love the “Gun Song” from Assassins. Four characters, each with a different relationship to their firearm, sing about killing presidents in four part harmony. Somehow it’s hilarious and terrifying and catchy, all at the same time.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? Venice, Italy. I would roam the canals, stare at art and architecture, and eat as much food as I could afford.

Where were you born/raised? Nashville, TN.

Tell us about your character. Mama Mizner – mother to Wilson and Addison. She dreamed of a better life for herself and now has put her hopes into her two boys.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? “Sorry Grateful.”  I did Company when living in Nashville and wanted that song sung at my wedding.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? Please teleport me to Highclere Castle in southern England, the location of Downton Abbey!

Where were you born/raised? I was an army brat so I lived all over the world growing up, but my parents are from West Virginia.

Tell us about your character. Papa Mizner is a positive, disciplined believer in the dream of America and wants his sons to enjoy the riches of his beloved homeland.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? “Send in the Clowns.” A common theme for looking for relief from the vagaries of life.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? I think at this particular point, I would like to be in a Syrian refugee camp or anywhere I could use my skills to relieve pain and human suffering.

Where were you born/raised? Minnetonka, MN.

Tell us about your character. I am in the ensemble for Road Show. My main named character is Edward Stotesbury, an upper class socialite and Hollis Bessemer’s uncle. He and his wife are among the first to hire Addison to build them a house in Palm Beach.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? I have always been fond of the song “No More” from Into The Woods. The melody and the father/son relationship reaching a climax have always moved me. I hope to play that part someday and explore it in greater depth.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? At this exact moment I would teleport back to my wife and baby girl in Chicago. Teleportation would be the perfect way for me to work and spend time with my family.

Where were you born/raised? I am originally from Herndon, VA.  Far, far away.

Tell us about your character. I play Mary Monahan, an Irish housewife, and Mrs. Cosden, an extremely wealthy married woman who wants nothing more then to outdo her wealthy friends.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? Ooof, that is hard. I would have to say “Move On,” from Sunday in the Park with George. The harmonies, the lyrics… it is pretty perfect.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? With Snowzilla behind us? I would teleport to Bora Bora.

Where were you born/raised? Virginia Beach, VA.

Tell us about your character. I play in the Ensemble as an actor/musician.  It is very exciting to jump back and forth from character to musician and sometimes do both at the same time.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? “The Best Thing That Ever Has Happened,” from Road Show. It reminds me of my partner.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? If I could teleport, I would go home to my grandmother who is turning 91 this year.

Where were you born/raised? South Florida.

Tell us about your character. I play a few different women in the ensemble of Road Show including Myra Yerkes, a wealthy widow who is charmed by Wilson, and Edith Trumbauer, an elite client of Addison’s in Palm Beach.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? I have a different favorite Sondheim song for different occasions! The first Sondheim song I heard was “Children Will Listen” from Into the Woods. I’m sure that song speaks to anyone who has a parent or a child. But it’s one of my favorites because when I listen to it, it feels so specific and unique to me. The ability to achieve that duality in one song is why the man is a genius, I suppose.

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? I want to teleport to wherever my whole family is. If they happen to be in Tuscany, that’d be great!

Where were you born/raised? DC native!

Tell us about your character. The jockey is character that simultaneously had his life made and ruined by Willie Misner. It’s an awesome duality to explore on stage.

What is your favorite song by Stephen Sondheim and why? I’ll have to get back to you on that one… There are just so many…

If you could teleport to any location in the world where would you go? The Amalfi Coast… Something about this winter has me craving lots of pasta and wine.
